Geoff Daniels is a MA student in the UI Department of Cinematic Arts studying the voice in cinema, specifically how vocal performance constructs gender and how these constructions may be problematized by androgynous and trans voices. His research tends to orbit sound in many facets, with interests in film scoring, the popular soundtrack, and how film functions as a specifically audiovisual medium. He previously attended Texas Tech University where he received his bachelors in creative media industries with a focus in film and media studies.
