Get to know Rachel

Rachel is the author of the novel Nightbitch, which has been adapted for screen by writer and director Marielle Heller. She is a founding editor of draft: the journal of process, which publishes first and final drafts of stories, essays, and poems along with author interviews about the creative process. Rachel is currently writing and developing a feature which uses body horror, psychosexual anxiety, and a supernatural landscape to explore ideas of grief and fertility, the darker urges of motherhood, and storytelling as transformative force. Her most recent prose can be found in Harper’s and Lit Hub.
