In collaboration with Grinnell College and FilmScene, Vertical Cinema is looking forward to welcome the visiting directer Christian Flemm on September 28th and 29th for a 16mm shorts screening at FilmScene.

Prior to the screening, the director is paying a classroom visit to undergraduate students in the Material of 16mm class with Professor Laura Gede and the director then is sharing his process and helping students with their projects. He then will have studio visits with graduate students followed by a Q&A about his work. This conversation extends to FilmScene where the director later shares his 16mm shorts in the program, The Room that Leaves the House: 16mm Shorts with Christian Flemm, with the larger community of Iowa City and audience members of the community share their thoughts and enjoy the venue and conversation.
