As the University of Iowa community gathers for Homecoming, join the Department of Cinematic Arts for a special screening of The Whale, the Academy Award-winning film adapted by Iowa Playwrights Workshop alumnus Samuel D. Hunter from his acclaimed play. Hunter, who is serving as this year's Homecoming Grand Marshal, will return to campus for a conversation with Dean Bakopoulos, offering audiences an opportunity to learn more about the adaptation process, screenwriting, and his work across theater and film.
