Professor Steven Ungar has been awarded the University of Iowa Michael J. Brody Award for Faculty Excellence in Service for 2020. The award is given in recognition of faculty service to the quality of our university and community and honors the exceptionally effective contributions of Professor Ungar over the course of his entire career.

Associate Professor Christopher Harris has been awarded an Artist Project Grant from the Los Angeles Filmforum funded by the Mike Kelly Foundation for the Arts.  The Grant supports the commissioning of new works by five artists, and hosts the artists in Los Angeles for the screenings of the new and prior films. The highly competitive award recognizes the outstanding creative research of our colleague Chris Harris, in particular through support of his film project Speaking in Tongues.
