Cinematic Arts Associate Professor and Head of Screenwriting Anahita Ghazvinizadeh will be leading a lecture and screening scenes from her acclaimed feature and short films at Princeton University on March 3, 2023.

The Sharmin and Bijan Mossavar Rahmani Center for Iran and Persian Gulf Studies, the sponsor for the event, will first be screening Ghazvinizadeh's debut feature film "THEY"– an official selection of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival– on March 2.

On Friday, March 3, Ghazvinizadeh will lead an in-person lecture and discuss "the subjectivity of characters represented in cinematic stories through various examples, and will focus on how the filmmaker can achieve a sense of interiority on the screen." A screening of scenes from "THEY" alongside two of her short films will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
