The Department of Cinematic Arts is excited to announce that two faculty members' monograph publications are set to appear this spring: Assistant Professor Christopher Goetz's Counterfeit Coin: Video Games and Fantasies of Empowerment and Department Chair Michael Cowan's Film Societies in Germany and Austria 1910-1933: Tracing the Social Life of Cinema. 

Both books will be featured in the inaugural Book Matters celebration of faculty book publications, organized by the Office of the Vice President. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 21st from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Old Capitol Museum.
